Post-Construction Cleaning

Post-Construction and Renovation Cleaning NYC

A construction project is not finished when the contractors pack up their tools. Fine dust, adhesive residue, protective film, paint marks, and loose debris can remain throughout the property, making a newly built or renovated facility feel incomplete.

CleanCru provides post-construction and renovation cleaning for offices, retail buildouts, medical facilities, schools, and gyms throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx.

Overview

What Is Post-Construction Cleaning?

Post-construction cleaning is a specialized service performed after construction, remodeling, or installation work. It addresses the dust, grime, debris, fingerprints, stickers, and residue left on new or existing surfaces during the construction process.

This service is more detailed than standard janitorial cleaning. Construction dust can settle on walls, baseboards, fixtures, cabinets, windows, floors, and other areas throughout the facility. It may continue to appear after the first cleaning as airborne fine dust settles.

The cleaning plan should reflect the project stage, property size, surface materials, contractor schedule, and intended opening or move-in date.

Our Process

The Three Phases of Construction Cleanup

Some commercial projects require multiple cleaning phases rather than one final appointment.

03

Final Touch-Up

CleanCru can develop a custom cleaning plan for one phase or coordinate multiple visits around the construction schedule.

Post-renovation cleaning is especially useful when a facility must reopen quickly. Professional cleaners allow contractors and internal employees to focus on inspections, deliveries, furniture installation, technology setup, and other final project requirements.

FAQs

Post-Construction Cleaning Costs and FAQs

How much does post-renovation cleaning cost?

Pricing depends on square footage, project condition, construction phase, amount of dust and debris, flooring materials, window cleaning, building access, and the number of cleaning technicians required. Large or complex projects may need an onsite estimate.

Is post-renovation cleaning worth it?

Professional cleaning is valuable when the space must be prepared for employees, customers, patients, tenants, or an inspection. It provides a more detailed process than asking construction workers or internal staff to complete the final cleaning.

What is involved in post-construction cleaning?

The service can include fine-dust removal, vacuuming, floor cleaning, baseboard cleaning, fixture detailing, interior window cleaning, cabinet cleaning, bathroom and kitchen cleaning, and removal of approved residue and loose debris.

Does post-construction cleaning include exterior areas?

Exterior windows, sidewalks, loading areas, pressure washing, and garage cleaning are not automatically included. They should be identified during the estimate and added to the cleaning scope when available.

Who is responsible for post-construction cleaning?

Responsibility depends on the construction contract or lease. A general contractor, property owner, tenant, developer, or property manager may arrange the service. The responsible party should confirm the scope, deadline, access requirements, and condition expected at handoff.
